Cardiff, second hand
Friday was Roses birthday (she lived in the flat above me last year), and her housemates surprised her by booking her a limo to cardiff. my housemate simon went, and I was invited as well but i didnt go. Im sure they had a great time, but considering my bank balance at the moment, im glad i didnt: £23 each for the limo, + present for rose, + entry to all the places they went (from what i gather it was a bit of an epic night, length-wise), + drinks - more expensive in cardiff i hear - and it all adds up to a fucking huge wad of money that should really be spent on the rent. i havent heard from simon how much he spent, but im guessing it was at least £60-70. considering you could have a massive beach party for that much (each, remember), and that a lot of people were excluded because of cost etc, and the whole cardiff thing doesnt sound like the best idea after all. but it is a bit typical of those girls, spending too much money in the first term, going out in their own little group and not being exactly inviting to their other friends (yeah i know i WAS invited, but unless theres enough other people going out with these girls to outnumber them, you tend to feel excluded).
k?
anyway, i went to cardiff myself today to go to ikea with my housemates, including simon who was surprisingly perky. was looking for a nice comfortable swivel chair to computer in, but it seems ikea isnt the best place to get those, at least not on a budget. im not going to save a load of money by skipping a night on the town, only to spend 2-3 times that amount on a present for my arse.
my arse IS killing me though.
